Course No. 1 is carved into the ancient links turf, pot bunkers, wispy grasses, and smooth-running greens and is a unique challenge for the serious golfer. On the PGA Website , the course was voted one of the Most Picturesque Golf Spots in the World, alongside Augusta National and Pebble Beach.
Course No. 2 , running alongside No. 1 for the first seven holes, the course sweeps down to a nature reserve next to Aberlady Bay before turning back towards home and the Visitors' Clubhouse.
Course No. 3 of all the courses at Gullane, No. 3 enjoys some of the best views across Aberlady Bay to Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth beyond.
Members and visitors playing the course that day are welcome to use the Club’s practice facilities during their visit. Situated next to the Gullane Links Clubhouse, practice facilities include a Short Game Area to hone pitching and bunker shot skills, a Driving Range to test those longer drives, and two Putting Greens, one located within the practice area, with a second Putting Green located next to the 1st tee on Course No.1. Balls for the Range are included in the green fee. We would respectfully ask during busy periods that practice facilities be used no more than 45 minutes before teeing off.
There is no halfway hut on any of the courses. However, depending on the course you are playing, the nearest point for supplies of drinks or snack bars is the Pro Shop. Alternatively both Clubhouses can provide a take-away service of coffee and bacon rolls for those golfers wanting to head straight to the first tee.
There are water-drinking fountains located at:
No. 1 – 11th tees
No. 2 – 9th green
No. 3 – 10th tees
The toilets on the courses are situated at:
No. 1 – Between the 5th and 8th tees
No. 2 – Behind the 5th green and left of the 16th yellow tees
No. 3 – Left of the 13th green towards the Greenkeepers' shed
